Will you be buying an ARM-powered Windows laptop sometime soon? Or still wait-and-see? 👀

HI there thank you for the videos', I've been watching all of them since you started the Arm pc ones👍👍, I have the Samsung 16 with the elite 84-100, i sent the 14 back as it was faulty( quality as you were saying) the 18 is so different and is much more of a solid laptop physically and its useability, except its much bigger and heavier, its more like my Older 12th gen XPS, it does have the quality feel, except for the plastic hinge🤣 The performance is stunning, and I've learnt the more power you gibe these elite laptops the better they perform. I did some really nerdy tests on it with a 100w charger and a little usb desktop fan, (not what you really want to do a daily basis) but i was curious after watching a video from the "other Steve" i wont bore you with the test results (unless you are interested ) but it is a real beast under these conditions and didn't get very loud but it did get 42 degrees under the screen in the middle. I also love the integration with my s24 ultra too, I did just get a surface laptop 7 15" which is very high quality and actually quite heavy but compact, you would love its quality as you said at the end of your brilliant video. I haven't had any in compatibility except for with Aomei partition manager, and there's nothing to clone so it doesn't matter, Everything else i use works as like most people i don't make videos, which is something youtuber's forget !You can up grade the SSD on the surface its really quick and easy and can save you £300 to £400, . Thanks again for the videos ive really enjoyed them, i can recommend these laptops for most people because they mainly just do media and office and maybe photo stuff, in which case they wont have any problems, I did appreciate that you were balanced in your reviews too which is better than most. Im a subscriber now so ill look forward to watching more of your content, thanks again Jon G👌

My machine doesn't have any creaking or sounds coming from the hinge. I wonder if yours has an issue.

I returned my Surface Pro OLED as it wasn't nearly as good as marketed. The battery life was similar to my SQ2 version, around 8 hours SOT. The more you push it the worse the efficiency, and I suspect the reason why Qualcomm only advertises video playback is that other workloads are not even close to the headline advertising numbers. Other issues were that my VPN did not work and my files did not sync due to Google Drive not working. My printer driver did not work, and all-in-all if you are buying these to actually do work on, they are frustrating and not the state they need to be in. Excuses that they will be updated do not pass muster as WOA has been around for 12+ years, 3X longer than Apple on ARM.

I would only recommend these as they have too many issues if you have a workload that can fall within these incompatibility issues. But bearing in mind AMD will be priced similarly in a few weeks with a 2X better GPU, better NPU, as efficient, probably more so for actual work, I would probably say give Snapdragon X a miss altogether and get an M4 Mac, Intel or AMD.

Great video I do have to say you’re wrong at this price point. Now, if you are an idiot like me and brought it on lunch and got the TV no one really wants yeah you got screwed! But now and $1000 this is a great deal that is the last time Samsung will get me to buy anything at launch . I should say laptop and television at launch. Also, when you talk battery life, you have to remind everybody Samsung has the smallest battery out of all the laptops running that chip, so of course it has less on screen time. Putting a large battery into a product is the best way to get results betters engineering, and software optimization is the key.

I live mine. The screen on this is better than any screen on any device. Yes, there are drawbacks with some software issues. But they'll iron those out. It's more powerful than my mac book pro m3. And it'll get faster as software adapts to the new snapdragon chip. Windows is so quick. And the laptop feels premium. I'm not sure what this guys on about.
