Incredibly useful, clear & concise. Thank you!

Very useful process workflow Matt - it works for me too. Loading into Hasselblad's Phocus software first also embeds the beautiful color science into the .fff raw images very nicely and provides lens corrections for distortion and vignetting automatically under the Adjustments tab. I stay in Phocus and do a very basic first pass edit such as "culling" of unusable images tweaking white balance and exposure. I also provide star ratings for the best. Then export the best as Tiff's and import into Lightroom for file management and possible further processing as you suggested. The star ratings assigned in Phocus transfer with the images into Lightroom.

Dear Matt, When you export a FFF file as a jpeg which Output Profile do you select in the Output Preset box, i would really appreciate an answer because I am having lots of problems, thank you

Hi Matt, A question if I may. Using my X2d which method below wii give me the highest quality from this camera.
Preforming the general slider adjustments on FF files in Phocus or exporting a 16 bit Tiff and processing the same adjustments in Photoshop which appears to use the standard ACR software.
Thank you for your time.

What about converting the images to 16 bit tiff from phocus? Doesn’t that give you the best color quality? I tried your method but after viewing my photos in lightroom, the images still display vignetting with lens distortion. The only way I can overcome these issues is by first exporting as 16 bit tiff from phocus, then opening it with lightroom.

Hi Matt, I have previously left a comment but I am afraid I have not received a response.
I am really struggling and would like your help urgently.
Once I saved all my FFF files to the desktop I wish to use ACR or Phocus to process them, not Lightroom and this is where my problems begin.
Do I need to assign Hasselblad profiles or convert to Hasselblad RGB when they open up in ACR via the preferences.
Once I have got the HCNS colour magic I need to Save each FFF file as a Adobe RGB format to send to my Photo Agency.
Where and when to change profiles is where my big problem begins.

I did contact Hasselblad who tell me that once the file is exported as a Tiff, it doesn't matter after that because the HCNS colour has been successfully baked in regardless of the profiles.

Hope this makes sense and you can help me

Kind regards
Michael

I am wondering if there is a way to just upload the most recent images and not have to load the entire SSD?

yes, Matt I have a question, I use a Hasselblad H2f, which has this FFF as its raw file, on a CFH-22 back, does Lightroom accept the fff files, and is this the Cloud based one you are describing, aka if I was going to the hard drive based lightroom Classic version would this still accept the fff file format.

Thanks for the clarification but how do you import the FFF files to Lightroom with the corrected hotpixels?

Thanks for the video! Are there any other advantages of those extra steps besides file size? I’m looking forward to a follow up video. 😊

Thank you very much for your advice, do you know if there is a way to edit it in Capture One ? Thank you very much

Did you do a review of the new firmware 3.1 and its relevant face detection update? Does it work as good as the Fuji gfx100 ii focusing?

I do yet not understand, why Phocus (I'm using version 3.8.3-fc3) not can handle 3FR files. That's more than confusing. On the other hand, Phocus 2 for iPad and iPhone deals with 3FR, but has only a fraction of the editing possibilities of Phocus 3.8.x for Mac. That's even more confusing.

What’s the best way to manipulate the files into a size and format that won’t crash Instagram and Facebook? If I save in photoshop to a maximum quality jpeg it tends to cause me problems

Thanks for this video Matt. I just ordered the limited edition X2d 100c from Adorama . Ive switched from the Sony system to Hasselblad and as you might guess im pumped. I wish it worked with Capture One Pro however Phocus seems pretty straight forward to use and ill learn something new in the process. I have all Godox flashes so im told i need a Nikon trigger to make this work. Is this true? Im going to watch your setup videos now to see what second lense i may need to pickup as well. Im glad you still enjoy this system and im looking forward to any advice you could give to help a fellow photographer.

Excuse my ignorance, but presumably you lose data by 'compressing' the file from 3FR to 3FFF ?

I thought you should compare fff files with 3FR files… !
