Pixel peeping at 100MP images from a medium format camera - Hasselblad X2D. Looking at how these images edit in Lightroom, the dynamic range, low light noise and the insane magnification of these images.

The poor man's alternative: Take 9 shots zoomed in and stitch them together in post.

Having now switched, for ergonomic reasons, from the Hasselblad H6D100c to the newer Hasselblad X2D - with a little dabble in between with the GFX100 I can tell you that the files of the H6D will blow your brain into a bucket by comparison.

Amazing detail especially in her hair. Thought my Nikon D850 image quality was good until you can see what 100meg can produce. Still stick to my D850 and use my Z6II for street photography. Many thanks for putting this video together I learn quite a lot from your video and makes me go out taking photographs.

I have a GFX camera 100 megapixels and I have a MacBook Pro with 16 MB of ram M1 chip and it handles it with no problems at all. The only time my Mac slows down a little bit is if I'm doing a stacking situation which a stack of 6 to 8 images would probably take one to 2 minutes but that's okay. One tip ....I dont save images until I've edited all my images and do a group save. It will take a bit of time, but you can usually be then going onto the next thing or leaving your computer.

Amazing work. Mark, how did you import the X2D 3Fr or TIFF file into Lightroom without it converting into HEIC or dng? I'm stuck on this and it's driving me a little nuts. Thx!

Hi Mark, have you tried importing the 3FR files with Phocus and then importing them into Lightroom? It takes a bit longer, but when you do this Phocus converts the files to FFF raw format and reduces the file size by 30-40%.

Thanks for the video. Still, don’t understand why was the reason for you using multiple linear gradients intersecting each other instead to use simply the sky . Please explain it as there is a trick for sure in this that we must learn it 🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹

Terrific video, camera, lens and your shots. As great as the Hasselblad is, I think I’ll stick to photos < 50MP.

I find LR especially on my little Surface notebook struggles mightily with larger files. I partly solved this problem by turning off the graphics card. Any thoughts on optimizing LR/PS performance?

Great video! I love your editing style and the colors! Regarding the shadow recovery @5:40 I would say my Sony A7RIII is able to bring up similar quality. A video with some real world comparison between the X2D and a Sony A7RIII or similar would be nice (I know, in terms of pixel count the X2D wins :-) )

Sir i am Huge fan of you...following you since long time..i need help on below
when i am putting my iphone 13 footages on Premeire Pro timeline
i am noticing color shifts. I tried Modify Clip->Interpret Footage->Color Management
But everything is grayed out under Color Management, to enable Color Management ->Use Media Color Space from file
i changed Project Settings->General->Video Rendering and Playback ->Renderer from Software to GPU Acceleration
but unable to Enable Color Management Option and hence failing to change Color Management ->Use Media Color Space from file
I tried this on Premiere Pro 2020 and 2023 as well. Whats the solution?
