Several years ago, a woman in period dress appeared in front of a group of school students. Some say she was Eliza Jumel, who had been dead for over a hundred years.

That lady was not playing. Kids learn something from that spirit. Behave, be quiet or go home like she said. Maybe her message was that you were welcomed just don't be rowdy, noise, disrespectful and be on your best behavior or go home. I honestly laughed. Those poor children were probably traumatized. 😂

It’s all a part of the act. The lady is in costume to scare the tourists. In this case the scare helped the kids learn about the Lady and the Mansion’s history.
