Back to basics! Matthew invited Spike to walk some field permissions he has and they had a pretty good day. They even explored an Indian mound with a confederate soldier buried on the top of it. They covered quite a few miles and picked up some nice artifacts so come along as we get back to our roots.

I remember in the 70's dad got permission to hunt a pasture that was just plowed up for the first time. The old maps had the field labeled as a buffalo wallow. We found a couple banner stones, axes and hundreds of points. It was exciting day walking out of that field with two pockets full of arrow heads. We still find something in that field ever year since then.

The time spent together out there, on a nice day, walking, searching, laughing, talking and sharing stories, is the real treasure and it's absolutely priceless. Thanks for bringing us along.

This was my favorite activity with my Grandad. Sure miss wandering through the sand hills of Nebraska hunting blow outs with him. I still keep my eyes to the ground, I just don't enjoy it quite as much.

Thank you boys for reminding me of how much fun it is.

Seeing this brings back precious memories for me. My grandad and I use to hunt arrowheads back in the 70's and I loved every minute of it. Spending time with my grandad was priceless. My luckiest find was not a whole point, but the back end of the point I decided to put in my stash and I walked about another 50 plus yards and found the front end of it to make it whole. What are the odds? Grandad and I used nail aprons from the local lumber store to carry our finds in. It was a wonderful time.

I live on a dairy farm and the cow field has an old dried riverbed that runs through it. We have found alot of arrowheads, flakes, tools etc. I love finding them. Sometimes, the cows stir the soil up and bring them to the surface. It's so cool to find them so I am trying to learn more.

When I started watching Heartbreak Relics I hadn't started looking arrowheads, but you all inspired me to start. My mom had given me her collection many yrs. ago, and had always loved reading about Native Americans and sharing her knowledge of that with me growing up. So your videos and the information that y'all shared along with all the tips you showed, helped me be successful in my endeavors. I love all the videos and the cool places you go, and the guys that y'all share the artifact hunting with. Thanks for being educators, and great role models. 💖

Treasures laying on the ground 😃 got many kids including my son to pick up this hobby..teach the young ones this awesome activity and it will keep them off the video gaming and the streets. Been field walking for 40 + years glad I found your channel 👍

We used to pick up arrow heads right off the top of the ground on the edges of muck fields in west Michigan, this was in the late 60’s and 70’s, sure wish I would have kept them

Thanks for sharing!! Really enjoyed the video 👏 I should get out and Hunt arrowheads more. My niece found an old rose quartz arrowhead in my folks back yard couple years ago! It's an old one and a looker, mostly crystalline at this point. Probably was a rock back when they were launching it😂

Cool video!!! If you start looking at the land within a 1/8 of a mile anywhere you drive over a creek thats (big or small) you will see a hill or indian earthworks. Houses are built on alot of them. If you go into the cities (big or small) that are by the river you will notice alot of old concrete steps built into a bank leading up to a house. Its all indian earthworks and mounds. Its anywhere you see a creek and road.

Hard to beat some fresh dirt to walk with points to find! The anticipation of what you might walk up on is addicting. Then when you finally walk up on one, it takes a second to realize what you’re seeing. Awesome experience! Thanks for sharing Spike!
