9:39 Can people completely eliminate music? Bismillah. Once I asked this question to my teacher, and his answer was:
LISTEN is not equal to HEAR. It became haram when people consciously and intentionally LISTEN to music and ENJOY it. It became a different case when we hear music in a mall for example because it is not our intention and we are not responsible for other people doing. Wallahu a'lam, Allah knows best.

All Muslim countries have music and musicians. Even Saudi. I figure it’s a minor sin to listen or make music. I like anasheed especially by Muad.

Music is a medium, it cannot be halal or haram by itself, just like books or movies... it depends on the containts it deliver and each one of us can clearly see wether a given music uplifts or degrades him or her.
