Assalaamu alaikum, since interest is a major sin, whether it is 100% or 33 % or 1 % of debt how it becomes Halal stock? Ideally we should not invest in stock where company has a loan of 1% also.
This is my view, let me know your view as well

Great video. I have this a question for sometime now and I couldn't find a good answer for it, that is, why is it still sharia complaint if 5% or less than 5% of the regular income is coming from haram sources ? Same for that 33% debt ratio.

A brotherly advice to everyone, almost every single one of these companies are involved in (Riba) interest income and interest expense (debt) at various amounts. I remind you to go and see what Allah SWT says about Riba in the Quran.
I’m only sharing this because Alhamdulilah, Allah SWT saved me and I found out early on.
There are those that unfortunately accepted to compromise and came up with “acceptable percentage limits” and they call it the “halalness scale!” It’s either Haram or Halal, there is no in between!

I think it's nearly impossible to find Sharia-compliant shares nowadays. One should apply the following criteria before investing in any company:

1. The company's main activity should be permissible.

2. The company should not own any other companies that have forbidden activities (Alcohol, gambling, riba...), e.g: A famous non-alcoholic beverages company owns many alcohol brands.

3. The company doesn't promote any anti-Islamic values or causes, e.g: "Gender identity", or anti-family agenda.

4. The company doesn't support any organisations that are working against or promoting hate against Muslims (or any other community). The investor must audit the philanthropy activities of the company he wants to invest in.


5. If the company has a record of any form of injustice (Scams, embezzlement, fraud, criminal activities, working conditions...) towards employees, customers, suppliers, investors...

6. The company doesn't have any debt with riba. (Which eliminates nearly all companies).

So can i purchase a halal stock (e.g. energy co.) and sell it either on the same day or a few days later (trading based on charts/technical analysis)? Or is only long term investing permissable?
