Now all y’all that hate Mayo, remember this. When cooked with meats it’s a wonder tenderizer. And the flavor of mayonnaise does not affect the flavor of the meat as long as you clean it off. Don’t sleep on Mayo just because you don’t like it as a condiment 😤

Vinegar is a marinade so anything you use with vinegar will strengthen the taste

In Russian cuisine there is baking fish with mayo in tin foil - its a revelation. So its not so crazy as it seems. But a steak - its better to just let it sit in oil and vinegar marinade for a few hours before cooking, if you are gonna go that route.

Instead of using butter to toast the outside of grilled cheese, you can use Mayo. It’s delicious. I do a light layer of Mayo and toast until it’s gold and then I add a little more and stick cheese on the outside. You toast the cheese on the outside. WHOLE NEW WORLD OF GRILLED CHEESE.

You can replace butter and oil with mayonnaise when you're frying. I cook steaks, pork chops, grilled cheese etc. There's no mayonnaise taste at all it just makes everything super crispy.

I have done that before but just spread some mayonnaise on it and shallow fried it in some oil. Good job 👍

I've got to recommend braising using yogurt as the liquid. The light acid makes the meat tender and a little sweet. Also the curds and whey separate, so you could take the curds and compress them into steak infused cheese.

First of all, my friend, you don't bake it like that. You char it a bit, then add a slight layer of mayo, put some onions under the steak and cover with cheese and bake until the cheese and mayo get a crust.
Congratulations, you have a cheap domestic yet tasty take at Veal Orloff, traditional Russian dish.

You can marinate steak or any meat in anything and then reverse sear it
