For a type swap, I actually have a Smeargle idea that gives it a secondary Fairy typing and often paints fantastical and whimsical imagery for children. They're often partnered with daycare employees and babysitters to help take care of baby Pokemon and small children.

For those who want a darker dex entry, they are highly sensitive empaths and when a child dies, it loses its drive to paint for quite a while.

Honestly I was expecting the fire Mewtwo to have a backstory based on Blaine, as the original mewtwo had some of his dna, and he is the fire type gym leader in gen 1

Wow this is amazing. I watch a lot of drawing and animation channels and they all do a Pokémon video, "Pokémon except But this is the best one I've seen. Not only does your art style make it look like these designs could be in the actual show and the way you incorporate elements of certain types is so intuitive and well done, but you do so much extra: the backstory, the stats, the pokedex entry, you even make a sprite. That's like so much. I don't see other art youtubers do that when they do a video on pokemon. It's cool.
Please make this a series!

If we're limiting ourselves to Gen 1, I'd like to see an Ice-type Arcanine since I feel Arcanine and Ninetails are more of the counterparts than Sandslash and Ninetails.
Edit: Maybe Ice/Fighting, so it becomes a trio between the three, so it's a Fairy-Fighting-Steel trio, with a primary Ice type for all of them.

I imagined haunter as something that is like living mercury personally.

For golem I imagined a statue of a graveyard. specifically the statue of someone who was brutally killed and the darkness of the murder brok the statue reformed it and fused it with dark energy.

For lapras I imagined something about it moving on fog/clouds as so much of its water evaporated it became lighter than air.

Lastly for mewtwo I imagined the chemicals pumped through mewtwos body as he was created burned his body inside and out as they tested his ability to rebuild himself as recover is a common move he has. Eventually he surpressed his flames long enough to make them think he died and when they went to check on his he let it all out and escaped with the flames now always on as his body adapted to the chemicals to the point that its body would produce it like blood.
