This is why your extremely rare black night gecko dropped its tail multiple times. It wasn’t random. They drop their tails when they feel scared or threatened. Stop picking your geckos up by their tails!!!

the way my jaw dropped when you picked them up by the tail. do not do this. they can drop their tail. you are abusing them and not giving them a good life. you are just using them to breed.

This is exactly why I hate most leopard gecko breeders. Crap like putting 3 full grown adults in a tiny plastic bin and just hoping they don't fight and grabbing them by the tail but then defending it in comments by saying they trust you (despite apparently having a history of your own Leo's dropping their tails). Just such crappy care for literally no reason of your own pets.

this is outargues you have 2-4 geckos living in small containers with no heating and an old bowl of mealworms! Not to mention you are grabbing them by their tails!!!

Got very anxious when he picked some of them up by the tail, was expecting it to drop its tail. They must be so used to him doing this that they know they're not in danger.

And this is exactly why you watch a video of how to handle a leopard gecko because the first thing the person would say if that said person knows what there doing is don't hold it by the tail unless you want ugly tailed geckos😬

i feel like he shouldn’t pick them up by the tails but then again, the problem more is that he’s teaching others to do it rather then him doing it. his geckos seem really comfy with him and not stressed when it happens so it’s not very likely they will drop their tails
