What really infuriates me is whenever Democrats tell Conservatives and Libertarians that we live in an ecochamber, even though we understand their ideology and party doctrines far better than they understand ours.

i do think there are times conservatives have anecdotally shifted further right, but it's pretty silly to pretend the US is getting vastly more right wing.

A big question to think about, though. What was the last right-wing piece of mainstream media you experienced? I can't think of a single song, game, movie, TV show, or anything similar in my lifetime that has a right-wing bias, but I can easily think of hundreds of examples of mainstream media that have blatant left-wing biases or talking points. There is not a single corporation on the FTSE 500 index that has expressed a view like "we should reduce immigration" or "the BLM riots were a bad thing" or "trans women aren't actually women" or "It's okay to be white" or "abortion is murder" or "religion is good" or "traditions are useful" or "drugs are harmful", but almost every single one has put out contrary messages.

Somehow a truman-show-esque dome has been constructed around hundreds of thousands of people to make them think they're rebels fighting against a cabal of homophobic white men. Can't they see the rainbow flags fluttering regally in the wind everywhere? Can't they see how their cities are flooding with beautiful bodies of color? Can't they see how everything is getting sucked into a black, tarry soup of progressivism? Any piece of media they consume affirms their deluded beliefs, and somehow the circuit in their brain that would recognise this is completely disabled. There's a shizophrenic behind the wheel and we're handcuffed and gagged in the trunk

On the Hollywood point, I would add that the writers and directors were always left leaning/liberal (as creative people often are), but they also had a working class background. Which meant, that if they wanted to talk about societal problems, they had experienced how hard life can be and touched enough grass to write about actual problems. There are movies like Taxi Driver, Network, Full Metal Jacked, Robocop, Terminator, Alien and so on that will forever be timeless classics, because messages of these movies are, to put it bluntly - true.

Nowadays however, writers and directors are mostly trust-fund babies. Their care-free life guaranteed that they have no experience or an actual hardship whatsoever, so they virtue signal about things they have little to no idea about. That is why every US-made Netflix production has a terrible pep-talk about white privilege, queerphobia or how capitalism is bad, or and whatever.

Because it's controlled opposition. When was the last time a Rightwing figure said anything that the majority of the Rightwing thought was 'going too far?' It never happens. But how many times do we see a Rightwing figure make an apology video apologizing not to normal Rightwingers, but pretending that they are? We see it every time such apology videos are made.

Schools also play a part, from my experience in Greece we cover many feminist articles showing how for example women are "oppressed" because siri, alexa and cortana has a female voice re-enforcing the stereotype that women are servants based on the testimonials of four female artists, women are oppressed because there haven't been many smart women in history, the reason being they had to do chores.Specifically they said that the wives of philosophers and inventors couldn't find any time to become thinkers because they had to take care of their geniuses husbands like froid and marx.They basically cherry picked famous thinkers and portrayed them as incompetent man-babies.They also assumed that the wives had as much potential for success as the husbands based on no reason.No mention of the iq bell curve, nothing.Another article stated that women had it worse than enslaved people of other races mentioned rale cultures and violence against women.And these are few specific examples.Many leftists claim that the manosphere is "brainwashing" men, but with the same logic schools do too.

"Grifter" is such an insanely bastardized word at this point, most of the people using it have absolutely no idea what it means and what they mean to say is "person I don't like". But I guess using a special and fancy term makes you sound more legitimate. Regardless, if you try to understand these people, they're correct, in a way. From their perspective, almost all media on television and the internet IS right-wing media, because they've convinced themselves anyone right of Marx is right-wing. There are people who unironically call CNN right-wing.

Thank god you're covering this guy. I see his clickbaity thumbnails EVERYWHERE on my Youtube page, and out of all of the breadtubers, Second Thought is the one that annoys me the most, closely followed by Our Changing Climate (which is still one you gotta do), and the Gravel "Institute."

Second Thought has insane skills as a Youtuber, and is very talented (his thumbnails are extremely well made, and likely generate a lot of clicks on his videos, and the editing of his videos is decently high quality), but chooses to waste his time making stupid videos like the one you are covering. If he was making videos on literally any other topic besides politics, I'd enjoy his content, and that's why I cannot stand to see his videos in my recommended tab, more so than any other breadtuber.

When he was alive, JFK was a Democrat President, but if he was alive today, his beliefs and policies on how the country should be run will make him far more suitable as a Republican candidate as he will be seen as far too "right wing" in the current year.
