That was how much respect and fear those players have for him. He was the best of the best lots from england. The past 20years yielded good england players which has the passion that pushes team mates/ Some players, u just want to pay and watch. Current ones, only Messi and soon Haaland. I like Messi but he is not a leader. Ronaldo cannot compare to Messi but Ronaldo is a leader.
