It's like Linekar was just preparing for Match of the Day all along.

Bloody hell, a footballer just being honest and having personality, unlike the boring media trained robots of today

haha linekers voice is actually like that now he's older. And already got the presenter chops

0:30 'The keepers unlucky' modest, gracious and respectful is Gazza to his opponent.

This is why Gazza is loved. Raw honesty and humility.

Linekar talking like a TV presenter already

Hindsight is cruel. He was an absolute genius of a player, but he definitely had issues that he needed support with. Mental health was more taboo back then. When it comes to English football, Gazza was the nineties.

So nice to see Gazza like this.. Lineker and Gascoigne, what a duo.
The memories come flooding back.

Paul with outright passion and humour. Gary with the methiodal and calm approach (pundit and presenter in the making). Two completely different footballs but together? That's what makes great teams.

They all loved him, his team mates and his gaffers, but most of all the fans loved him, and rightly so in my book.

Love the old interviews with the boots on the wall etc can’t beat that

Gascoigne seemed fairly calm & "normal" here compared to the later years of his career. All seemed to unravel for him in the mid to late 90s with the boozing etc.
