Postmates Not Paying Your Wait Time and How to Fix

a recent email exchange (just to get what i'm owed for wait time), with CS turned sour when they tired to intimate that my phone OS wasn't up to date which was why the wait time was off. agreed, it IS bullshit that I HAVE TO WASTE MY FREE TIME arguing with CS over getting an additional $1.37 for wait time due to the cap POSTMATES placed on orders! face it, ANY corporation is continuously devising ways to short the 'employees' wages. a frightening thought is what will transpire when postmates and ubereats merges in 2021; putting together more corporate minds too get creative about screwing the courier in the *ss!

Ok this is a odd question i went to a client tonight got to a pizza place had to place the order waited 15 ish minutes but than i was sent up the street to an APARTMENT there was no apt number so i texted and called the client he answered said i might be wrong address he was going off memory so he said hold on let me get a hold of my buddy waited 5 min he gave me the same address hust 1 number off so i called him back and said hey there is 13 bldg and so far each bldg had a different letter but all same numbers. So i asked if he could just get bldg number instead he gets back on the phone and tell me i see u on the app go to the front on the corner waited another 20ish minutes finally put hazards on and he came walking outftom other side knocked on my window asked how crazy it was for someone to order on a app from washington all the way here. Itwas 1 pizza bruh. This was crazy left my house at 10 went to pizza place that was 4 min from my house waited 15 ish min went 5 min up the road and bam i was home at 10:45. WTH.

What if the delivery doesn't show wait time but it says duration time. Also it was a order and pay call.??

Waited 40 minutes at a place last night and again wait time compensation maxed out at 15.00 minutes. Who knows how many times this has happened to me over the past year. I've had Walmart orders even that have taken 45 to 60 minutes of waiting and again only 15 minutes exactly of wait time pay. And who has the time to log arrival and departure of every order then check the payout of each one of them on the app and report it to support? Total bs

I know I know this is old but it's the opposite of what really happens they start paying you extra after you wait 15 minutes on a pickup only and after 25 minutes on a pay order and pray, . When did anyone ever come up with the idea of caps and unless you are a developer and Postmates you're not going to know this information.

I’ve had to order/pay for the food myself & then be given a 20 minute wait time. If that gives me enough time to pickup & deliver another order that’s relatively close to that particular location through a different delivery service app then I’m going to take it. I don’t care if I’m physically having to wait at the restaurant or not...I still deserve to be paid either way. You can’t allow customers to force easily avoidable wait times onto delivery drivers & then still think you have any say about what those drivers choose to do during their wait. If I wanted to stand my happy ass on the corner & sell crack to minors then that’s my decision. Regardless, I still want that $0.42 from Postmates because they’re talking time out of my day that I could be devoting making money elsewhere

do they want some sort of proof of how long you were waiting. You would think the gps would have it but sometimes I have noticed the I am at a pickup but the app isn’t really noticing I’m there. Like it’s still showing it around the corner or something
