funny thing - the festival is free. It is a thank you from a charity organization to all the donors. No attendance fee, nothing, just get there, and have a few days of music, freedom, and acceptance of whichever way of life you've chosen

This song is a protest against Berlins wall (song recorded in 1988, a year before the fall of the wall). Its metaphoric lyrics were to avoid censorship. The lyrics are about splitting your house, your body, your street into half. How left side of the street is dark / shut down and right one is shining with colourful neons. How left one never wakes up and right one never goes to sleep. And so on. That's why this song is important for polish people and that's why there is so much emotion behind it. Cuz it's fight for a freedom.

The song is timeless. It is about divisions in society. Divisions between left and right. It was applicable ac in socialistic Poland as it is today in the entire world.

The song had to somehow avoid censorship.
The song is about the divided society by the Wall- not only by the Berlin Wall- but also by the iron curtain.
That song was literally the experience of the most of the nations closed behind the iron curtain.
That is why this song is so emotional for Kasia Nosowska.
(Well- not only her, but each of us watching it on YouTube I guess)
Also it is strongly related to recent situation in Poland where the society is divided by two, happily after the recent election it all will change. Hopefully…

Poland rock music is soo emotional because the roots of band like HEY is in '80 - very hard political time. Not only music, vocal but also a lirycs so important. This music will be always in our hearts. And Kasia Nosowska is one of the best singer in Poland ❤🤍

That was a very old Kult's song and the lyrics describe in allegory way times when Europe was divided and Poland came under Russian occupation 1945-1989. Song is about Berlin Wall, because that symbolized this division

I've been there five times. The atmosphere is truly like magic. The song refers to Berlin wall when Germany or even Europe was divided into two pieces. It means that we shouldn't build walls between each other but live peacefully together. Censorship was very severe a that time so the song is one big metaphor.
