I have always been told that those cheap windows sales websites are, while not a scam, provide mass keys not intended for resale or something to that effect.

I have just bought Ome version of Windows Pro. I have done like you say install a new fresh Windows 10 version and installed Windows 10 Pro version gone to type the product key and it says the key is already been used but I have not used it in an install can you help?

I had a major issue upgrading a friend’s laptop with a Window 10 home key stored in the UEFI (BIOS), as even with a clean install with an “all in one ISO” from Microsoft its always installed the home version with no option to change it.

I found that the best way to do this was to use an ISO that only contained the pro version.

You can make one by stripping out the Pro Version from the install.wim or install.esd.

Another method is to download a pro only version from another site (obviously from a trusted source).

I tried using the method where you drop a file into the installer with a pro key and this did not work!!

Since then, I got some malware on my system and used a system recovery image from my computer manufacturer to fix the problem. The recovery returned me to Windows 10 Home. How do I re-upgrade to Windows 10 Pro without having to buy a second upgrade key? I didn't think to write the upgrade key down at the time of purchase and I'm not even sure what email I was using at the time of the upgrade. What do you recommend I do? Thanks.

Windows 10 pro is just a Windows home enhancement, sort of like a " featured update" done twice a year Also upgrading from Window 7/8 to Windows 10 home ( digit enhancement ) makes a difference when doing that upgrade which then you would have to use the first method only

You said in the video that if you use the OEM key then you will have to reinstall all other software. It was said if you use a dummy key for Win 10 it will upgrade your system to win 10 Pro and then use the OEM key to activate it and you have win 10 Pro without having to reinstall. Are you saying this will not work? Cause if it does it will save a lot of faffing around.

And could you explain what Win 10 Pro will actually offer to the average user?
