Just looked on Amazon for the metal extruder clamp and found the whole kit in your video (clamps, bed leveling springs, hose, etc) for less than $20. Now sir, that is an upgrade for a bargin!

My Ender 3 has a warped bed and I have been SO frustrated trying to get any high quality prints off of it. (I'm new to this whole 3D printing thing). This was very helpful and straightforward without getting lost in the weeds of all the crazy things a lot of other people do to their Ender 3s.

Keep your old bowden tubes for extrusion tests. Cut them at desired extrusion length, insert them wherever you want to take the measurement...making sure the end is up against a stable piece of the printer, make the filament, run the test, then move the tube out of the way and take a measurement from the stable piece to your mark. Economical and makes measuring filament easier. I have a 100mm section just for extrusion testing.

finally a no nonsense upgrade video without any fancy stuff and straight to the point. loved it and thanks, keep doing more. cheers

Thanks for the video. I've found the tube cutter that comes with the Capricorn does not cut it flat. To cut the bowden tube square, use the base of the coupler instead. Put it in the coupler and use your blade to chop it off flat at the bottom of the coupler.

More great noob info. My used Ender 3 already had an upgraded metal extrusion “clamp”, bed springs and a glass plate. Bingeing your vids is helping drive me up the learning curve.

When I first heard of upgrading a printer I didn't exactly understand how beneficial it was and which ones were best, but now I do. I'm definitely going to try some of these out on my own Ender 3.

My used ender 3 had the extruder broken when I bought it. I just change it for the same one in this video and I'm now ready to try printing something! It is your videos that have me confidence to buy a 3d printer. You explain very well and it is all useful! Thx!

Thank you for this video. I have been having issues with my Ender 3 Pro bed for the last week or more, and watching your method of leveling with the hot bed worked like a charm. Still have some work to do on it, but at least I can print again!

Hey brother, exciting news, I just purchased my first 3d printer and this video is awesome! I will be doing these upgrades as well. Once again thanks for the tips. Cant wait to print out my project!

Ditch the bed springs. Get the silicone spacers instead. Springs allow sideways wobble and are harder to adjust.

I absolutely love this video man it might be an older one but for a Newbie Original Ender 3 owner like myself this video is perfect man! And greatly appreciated thanks for sharing bro! 😎✌️

the magnet is directional...yes it will hold in any direction but it will be stronger in 2 of the positions and weaker in the other 2...and the magnet is strong enough that it will destroy your print before shifting the bed...

Great video mate, very informative. I've had my ender3 for about the same time (2 yrs) and before I had watched your video I had ordered the same metal extruder. Lol Good to know to keep the larger coupling for the metal extruder.

Thanks for this video. I just upgraded my extruded to an all metal after having several print failures.

I legitimately just got my 3d printer 3 weeks ago and my biggest issure is getting the bed leveled and my sensor keeos on grinding which messes it up so thanks for reviewing this. Def gonna get upgrades

PERFECT timing!! My metal extruder gets delivered today! ...I like that magnetic bed! I switched to glass about 6 months ago and haven't really had any issues with it...but options are great! :-)
