Thank you for posting so much about keto. I have pcos. In the past 7 weeks, I've lost 30 pounds, my skin has cleared, the swelling in my feet has pretty much disappeared, I have more energy, no more terrible mood swings, my cravings have pretty much disappeared. I've gone from drinking mostly soda to over a gallon of water a day - I even had a sip of soda at a holiday party and couldn't stand it! I'm so grateful for the resources you've provided, it's literally changing my life.

Could you explain to me, what are the benefits o Kefir (milk or water), or Fermented foods or probiotic foods to a keto diet?

I would love an updated version of this video, there are others describing ketones as being an energy source that is being "burned" by the body. I always understood that ketones were, (as you taught) a byproduct of fat being burned.

Hi Dr. Eric. I have a question.i don't understand why ketones are better fuel when our biology keep preferring and prioritizing glucose as a main source of fuel; i really need an answer because a lot of vegans use this argue.. Doctors that promote keto diet say that carbs create lactic acidosis, and Doctors that promote vegan diets ''with carbs of course'' say that keto diets ''with meat'' create metabolic acidosis and ketone bodies are acidic and this is proven with urins ..So there is alot of confution. And one more thing..thakn you for your videos!

My dad, who is quickly showing signs of dementia or Alzheimer's, and I are reading and trying to reverse this disease that's beginning in him and in my mother. We've just recently read that ketones are important, and you can actually buy some kind of supplement to improve ketone activity. I'm not sure, though, if that's a good thing. From what I remember in college biochemistry class, ketones are made when you are burning sugar, as you have said here, and can be tested in the urine to see that you are producing ketones when losing weight, and that ketones when you are not trying to lose weight can be a warning of diabetes. I'm looking forward to see if my thinking on it needs correcting, and I know certainly, needs enhancing. Thanks!

I quit smoking many years ago Cold Turkey, I can use some of those techniques
to give up sugar. I don't even know what a carbohydrate is? 😕 gotta look up some things.

Is it easier to get into ketosis a second time since your body has already made the machinery once to deal with fat. Can your cells have a "memory" of what they have done in the past?
