Where is the model T ? The “redline” is like 1.200 rpm

i noticed that even though these gas engines are very low revving, the peak torque is still produced at higher RPM than diesels

Huge sorry for the mistakes! I normally just take the chart from previous video and re-type the numbers. I accidentally screwed that up! I hope it won't ruin the video for you!

The L410 6.75 litre V8 is the last proper Rolls-Royce engine and it only just went out of production a few months ago, and featured in the last Bentley Mulsanne. My 1982 Silver Spirit makes some glorious V8 noise without any modifications, and it has so much torque that the GM THM400 3-Speed automatic doesn't seem like just a 3-speed gearbox.

Regarding the UAZ 452, several engine has been installed over time. The 112 hp is the current one: it is a 2.7l engine, not 2.4. The 2.4l original engine, low octane, was ~70 hp.

About gazelle engine:
It began it's history as Gaz-24 Volga engine named "24D" (24Д).
Later it was updated for UAZ family (469 and famous "Buhanka") and named ZMZ-402.
Still 2.4L i4, OHV, camshaft in block putting out around 90hp and 180Nm. With most torque being around 2k-3.5k rpm.
Then it was updated as ZMZ-406 being injector, DOHC engine inhaling a shitton of gas and putting out blistering and angry 150hp and 200Nm from 2.3L. that engine went in GAZ-3110, 31105 and some gazelle's and UAZ's.

As UAZ owner myself - those things went to Afghanistan for a reason - this engine is very hard to keep in good shape: it loves to leak oil, to lose oil pressure and overheat.
Despite that it's so tough, my father's dailying UAZ-469 which has been rebuilt in Kiev on a Combine factory in 1980 (there's metal plate with this text under the hood), now has it's original engine having fifth of a nominal oil pressure and being under excessive use as it needs to be revved all the way up to 4500 and stay there to keep up with traffic (short gearing ffs) - still being reliable enough to be a good daily driver.
This piece of crap jeep probably been to Afghanistan and back and it's still more reliable than your average 3-series beamer.

1:36 Agreed. I have a '73 CJ-5 Jeep with an AMC 258 (4.2) which is almost clapped out but it just keeps going. One of my previous co-workers had a CJ-8 with over 700, 000 miles on it and it was only on its second AMC 258.

GAZ Gazelle and UAZ have the same ZMZ-40x series engine, depends on production year (402, 406, 409). 2.4 to 2.7 litres. From Euro 0 carburettor 100 hp to Euro 4 BOSCH injection 150 hp (ZMZ Pro version 160 hp). Yes, not so powerful but reliable and durable.
There were some more engines UMZ-4213, ZMZ-514 and diesels. The same characteristics as 406’s.

I love those Citroëns. In Iran where I grew up, in the 80s every middle class family had one. You could put a carton of eggs in the back and fly through bumpy roads at max speed of whopping 45 mph and arrive home with all eggs intact.
