Ya thats pretty much how we all think we'd react. But then i cant think of all the times ive been nice to a stranger not knowing if theyll turn out like martha. Its never so easy in real life.

most people would have offered her a drink, the end of the story solidifies that

Wow it's almost as if trauma and empathy make you behave irrationally

You’re literally blaming the victim, which is one of the main things that Donny (or in real life’s case, Richard) had to overcome. A lot of people would’ve offered a crying person with no wallet a drink out of the kindness of their heart, which we can see with the ending of the show how Donny and Martha’s lives seem to come full circle, which both with different intentions but the same situation, being crying without a wallet in hand, and a bartender giving it to them on the house.

Nah, I don't think he showed lack of common sense in this scene. It was later on, def when he read she was a stalker and still didn't take action. (Which is understandable given he was dysregulated from trauma.) But come on, a small act of kindness towards a stranger is not a lack of common sense.

Men will tell you the suicide statistics and turn around and do make videos like this.

the whole point of the show is that he should've been able to give an act of kindness without fear of repercussion but go off

Nah. If someone said they couldn't afford a cup of tea, you'd likely get them one.

Damn, what if a homeless person started stalking you just because you gave them some money?!

Honestly i have been in super lite version of this story. Its really never that easy and even in the situation you try to justify it since this one person seems to see something in you that no one else sees not even yourself. Its really a curse to feel special because of a toxic person

I hate this video on so many levels. Act of kindness is always valid if you visibly see anyone having a terrible day. There are a few times I wish I was offered some kindness when I was visibly in terrible situation and small act of kindness would make my day way better. Or there are times I wish I showed that act of kindness as well. Fiona's case is very extreme one.

Well, if that happened, then he wouldn't have a storyline now, would he?

Lack of common sense was when police wasn’t called when he was attacked and when Teri was attacked. That could have locked up the stalker for a very long time

It's ridiculous how many people are taking this video seriously

It’s not “common sense” it’s lacking empathy, but the sketch was still pretty funny
