What is bokeh? In this photography tutorial, we'll talk about what bokeh is (and isn't). Bokeh comes from the Japanese word boke and means a couple of things. It means 'blur' and it means the 'quality of blur.'

Most people tend to think of bokeh as simply the round spherical shapes that happen when you have lights in the background of a photo. It is much more than that, and in this bokeh tutorial, Sam and I will try to explain it.

If it's Japanese, the bokeh is ボケ which is pronounced 'bo' as in 'bong' and 'ke' as in kent. Not Bow-Keh.

Is it me or is the dude on the left not in hard focus? And it sounds like the audio is being captured by camera mic.

9:00 I'm done! America literally took a Japanese word, added an "h" and claimed it as their own you're saying? Are you kidding me? Smh, makes me wonder if every word in the English language is stolen and tweaked just a little to consider it our own lol

It's pronounced BOH-kay. It literally states that in the beginning of the definition, my dude!
