In Egypt it is determined actually by your education level. So if you’re a college grad you get ten months, if you only have a high school certificate only you get like two years, and so on.

In Egypt it's not about luck, it's about your educational degree, if you finished university you will take short time, if you have gone to school but didn't complete your university (didn't want to complete your education), you will take a longer time, if you didn't take any education you will take the longest time, there are some requirements also, like if you don't have any brother or only sisters you won't serve, and some medical causes

We can't have a job without serving so no one can escape 👀

fun fact: in Morocco is only obligatory if you're at a dead end and if you get a summon you can simply respond that you planning on continuing your education

I live in Singapore where all guys who are mentally and physically fit are required to serve in the army during their adolescent years. I am currently having my army service right now but I am in a less tough training sector due to several medical conditions.
