I would like to add my two cents into this... i remember the first time i watched this i fully misinterpreted it and it led me to drawing too fast and too loose which in the long run made me make alot of the same strokes and because i was drawing so fast i didnt have to time to really THINK about what i was doing so ultimately i would continue making the same mistakes/lines and i didnt draw creatively because of this. Example: i was learning muscles and drawing so loosely and fast that my brain didnt really have time to process what i was doing so i ultimately didnt remember my studies. I would say draw at a speed that is comfortable especially when its something you struggle with or a study/finished/super complex piece. Im not saying draw like a turtle but its better to draw at a normal pace and work your way up by understanding more than draw super quick and not truly know why youre making that line.

It takes me a day or two for a sketch, another day for local color, and another day for shadow and lighting! And for the last day I give up.

Tho my latest drawing took only 3 hours total and I was greatly confused, mostly by the amount of detail and proper light, color, and shadows
