Information Overload

Imaging all the components of even a tiny sliver of brain, as in this video, takes enormous computing power. Neuroscientist Bobby Kasthuri estimates that completely mapping 1 mm3 of brain tissue will require about 2 million gigabytes of data, more than exists in the Library of Congress.
