After week's of speculation, Harris picked Tim Walz, Minnesota's Governor.

Walz was elected governor of Minnesota in 2018 and reelected in 2022 after serving several years as U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s First Congressional District. Before that, he was a teacher, coach and member of the Army National Guard.

As governor, Walz has touted his accomplishments including providing free school meals to all students in Minnesota, protecting reproductive freedom, cutting taxes for the middle class, and expanding paid leave for workers, among other policies.

MN native here. Two peas in a pod. Walz was/is 1:27 poor on our northern border. He let people riot & burn things in the Twin Cities during the George Floyd riots. Kamala supported and helped fund the bail for the quick release of the George Floyd rioters. Walz initially turned down the military help from Trump until 3 days into the riots. He shut things down during covid but not nearly as bad as California. He is a Gov. Newsom wannabe though as far as his progressive policies go & governs as though Minnesota as a uni-party state. To be fair, Walz had 20 years in the Nat'l Guard & could have retired but re-enlisted for another 6 years. Back then folks were allowed to retire anytime after 20 yrs even before their re-enlistment was up. So, he bailed after 4 yrs of his re-enlistment as his unit was being deployed to Iraq. Not a good look. AND, he made very disparaging remarks about the Nat'l Guard a few years ago, calling them a bunch of "19 y.o. line cooks."😮🤮
