7-year-old saves mom's life

Aidyn Toban is being hailed as a hero for staying calm with dispatchers when his mother had a seizure. ABC's Kenneth Moton reports.

He is very humble for his age. He didn't want praise, he just wanted his mom to be healthy. God bless him and his family.

Notice the work mommy put in before this ever happened:

He was VERY articulate and knew to call 911. This shows mommy's been reading with him(he could recite words like responding) and going over numbers.

He was VERY calm and listened closely and responded appropriately, his calmness shows signs of inner confidence and the way he responded showed signs of advanced cognitive reasoning. That means mom asks lots of questions to keep his little brain working and learning.

Lastly the emergency responder asked if he could read in which he replied yes, found a piece of mail and read the address! This speaks for itself!!! Just goes to show, a little extra effort with your kids, a little extra attention their way instead of sticking them in front of a tablet screen to scroll Facebook, can pay off in ways beyond what you can imagine.

I hope he isn't too traumatized. As an adult I found my mom unresponsive and I still get flashbacks and panic because I felt so helpless seeing her in distress.

I'm a 42 year old police officer and I have to admit that I found my mother unconscious and I don't think I was that calm. I'm calm when it's strangers but to be calm like that when you are 7 and that's your mom. That is great parenting and one outstanding little guy. Good for you my man. And thank you to the fireman and news for showing up and honoring him.

This angel is the perfect example of what it means to train our children in life saving skills early on in life!

He’s such a good, smart kid! You can tell that his mom is doing a great job raising him. It really does take a community to raise a child. I’m glad the rescue team came back to show him some love! Idk him, but I’m proud of him.
