In this video I show you how to gain extra fender to wheel clearance with a cheap and easy widebody hack. Now I'm doing this on my 1988 BMW E30 however this look is achievable on any car really and it can help you get that extra room for wider tires or a wider track width. I’ve seen this done on anything from
EVO’s to Miatas and I always think it make a great Racecar looks.

You should put a black mesh inside the gap to make it look more clean, because a bit of rust can be seen through the gap and also it won't look like the fenders are screwed. Just my opinion. Nice vid!

Looks pretty race car to me, kinda reminds me of the old 75/76 3.0 CLS’s box flares with the large gap between the arch & the door 👍🏻

Looks like some sorta bow fenders . Should bow it more and add vents

Good idea but not sure i agree that it looks good. Maybe i have to stand next to it to get the same vibe you're getting.
I got a honda s2000 with a similar rear fender problem. Not sure this solution will work. might still give it a go. Nothing ventured. Nothing gained...

Love this as an alternate to over fenders - I'm fitting 50mm wider LCAs to my e30 (for drifting), so excited to see if this'll do the trick

Can you take the car to inspection like this?

Lots of nay sayers, but I think it looks pretty rad 🤘🏻on your E30.

cool, never noticed this before! I'll have to look at how ppl do this. Only thing is, wouldn't there be more road noise without the inner fender well cover?

@blake's Garage I'm going to do this to my car brother. Thanks for the tutorial.

That's a quick easy trick thanks for the insight. I say just cut the fenders.

Could paint the exposed inner fender black or whatever. That might look better to hide some of the surface rust.

Should make some mesh or something in the gap so it looks like a vent. Will prob make it look a shit load better

I would use steel not aluminium as you will get electrolysis rust

Did you leave the fender wells off? Is it cause you couldn’t put it back on after?

That looks sick! I really like it! Not too aggressive looking.👍 quick question, is it safe to run to run extended lug nuts on stock wheel studs?
