This video is lesson 1 in our Private Pilot Ground Course, which will prepare you for your FAA written exam. This is a very easy to follow lesson about Aerodynamics and the Four Forces that act on an airplane in flight. This video is easy to follow with very simple explanations of the basic aviation principles. We discuss lift, weight, drag, thrust and how they relate to the airplane. This training is intended to follow the aeronautical knowledge areas in Part 61.105 section b for single engine aircraft.

I just have to say that the Free Pilot Training are bordering on phenomenal. I did Sporty's as my office ground school and have nothing bad to say at all about Sportys. However, Free Pilot Training is on another level. You know how you have had teachers in your life who are just simply great at the art of teaching? This is it. The videos do an excellent job of explaining difficult concepts and creating pathways not just to hear/see the materials but to actually learn and remember then. I am pretty sure that I will keep coming back to these in order to keep the concepts fresh in my mind. Thank you very much for providing these videos!

I have watched multiple ground school classes online and this is by far the easiest to understand that I've seen yet. I know that there are many online ground schools that will sign off on an FAA written test if you buy their product. What I've come to realize is that the reason that I'll pass the exam is your channel/videos. With that being said do you have or have you considered creating a competency test to add to your online store that you would sign off on FAA testing if required proficiency is met. I would much rather pay that amount to the people who created this course, rather than giving $250(seems to be the average online ground course rate) to someone else for a product that is inferior to your free course on Facebook.

Besides printing it out, is there a paperback that I can buy for the AIM? Plus, you quickly mentioned part 61 and part 91 in this video. Are there paperback books for these two as well?

i loved the video but one part got me concerned, how does an aircraft go forward when the thrust and drag are equal?

So watching these videos (Private Pilot Ground Lesson) will prepare me to get the PPL? Is there any other videos or textbook I need to read to get my PPL ?

The drawings and the information are great. However, I find that watching the hand/arm create the drawings are distracting.

I loved the video. However I thought the video was a little bit fast pace and was hard to follow along without pausing constantly. But other than that great lesson!
