You forgot the accusatory way the cashier leans over to look in your trolley, and I mean really look, in every corner, to make sure you're not trying to sneak out a packet or biscuits or a salami or something, without paying for it.

Oder was bei mir auch immer so ist, wenn wir also ich und meine Mutter an der Kasse stehen, wir schon alles auf das Band gelegt haben und meiner Mutter noch einfällt, oh ich hab den Almigurt Jogurt im geschmack Walderdbeere der grade im Angebot ist vergessen und sie dir sagt das sie nur kurz weg ist, entwickle ich immer todesangst wenn wir dran sind und der Kassierer im Speedi Modus die Sachen einscant, ich allein an der Kasse stehe und kein Geld dabei habe😂😅

Ah yes, crumpling up the receipt and throwing it away is a reflex for cashiers. They usually ask if you want the receipt, but most customers say no. And when I come along and say yes, they crumple it up anyway and when their brain finally processes the answer, they say "Oh" and get that look of regret on their face. Fun times...

TRICK 1: You can always win time with a bread/bread rolls, especially if it's an inexperienced cashier. They often have to look up the price in special tables, as it can't be labled with any barcodes.

Of course you gotta place it in the middle of your shopping on the conveyor belt.


TRICK 2: System is everything! First place the heavy, large things that you have to pack first, then the small, fragile things.
