Hmm. Well, if this minor volume difference is a big deal for you., then okay. You do you. I have used the HK for years until the DAC I was using it with stopped working on a much higher end system. Volume level was never an issue. I have a new DAC with built in Bluetooth that works fine, and l’m probably going to use the HK adapter with some powdered bookshelf speakers I’m shopping for to use in my home office. I’m sure I did an A-B comparison, I would get the same results. Thanks for the video. It was useful for reminding me which cables I need to dig out to connect it.

I just ran across this. I'm using an Outlaw BTR-100 from about 2016 or so. Same form factor as the HK you have, but it's NLA from Outlaw due to BT 4.0 and other tech limitiations. Now I know what the difference is; I'm glad that I ran across your videos. I stopped using it a few years back but recently changed TV's, and the new one doesn't have line level inputs, so I had to use BT. The volume does need to be cranked up on my receiver, I've noticed. I'm also using your videos to figure out what other BT unit to get. Thanks for the comparison! Better than a talking head for sure :)

I’d like to ask a question concerning woofer hook ups.
The equipment I have is a Yamaha RN303 stereo receiver. I have 4 speakers taking up the A/B channels on the back. If the B speakers are taken up… how would I hook up the woofer or can at all? Thank you for your help.
