Yamaha R7 Air Filter Install

Welcome back!!! today we finally install the DNA air filter.... intake and exhaust complete now we just need a tune. The DNA Air Filter provides 36% more airflow than the stock filter and 98% filter efficiency.

DNA Air Filter for Yamaha R7 (it fits both R7 and MT-07)

Plastic Push Pins to replace broken ones (more than you need but many sizes for other vehicles)

great video, very easy to understand, there's lots of videos out there that over complicate things and it kind of puts people off but you seem to make them much simpler and easy to understand, i don't own a big bike let alone an r7 but i enjoy learning more from watching and it could and probably will come in handy in the future

Take the rubber boot out if you’re getting it tuned. Yamaha designed it to be removable for extra power/ track use. It is on there for regulatory purposes.
I will say the extra power is minimal though.

I just picked up a 24 R7 and it doesn’t have that rubber boot on top of the air box. I can remove my seat and look in between the tank and see the air filter.

There is a stage 1 and stage 2 cap for the DNA filter thats why you have to get the stage 2 for the bigger hole

Just installed my DNA air filter and I’m getting my ECU back from being flashed tomorrow! I did notice that my air filter fit perfectly with the DNA writing towards the tail though, it’s flipped in your video.
