In the last nine years of fulltime RVing, we have tried out a great many RVing related products and gadgets. Back in 2016, I put out a list of my 10 Must-Have RV Gadgets, and it was extremely popular. RVers love gadgets!

So I’m back again with ten more of my must-haves. These are items that I use all the time. Say our whole rig went off a cliff and destroyed. These are things I would go out and buy again for the new RV.

Superb video. If you are a new RV owner or a long term enthusiast, this list is very comprehensive and he is spot-on with his recommendations.

We sure appreciate this type of video from you (and others) reviewing and telling others what gadgets have proved most helpful. Sure beats trying to decipher the ratings that come with most products on-line. Thanks again!

Ray, as always great video. Agree with all, personally have 9 of them. Our 2016 Rockwood was pre-wired for the Furion backup, it works well, yours has more nice features. I love it for use on busy hwys and backing up. Would not tow without TPMS and portable ViAir compressor. Had the little type compressor for emergency use and bike tires etc, however the ViAir by far great use. Safe travels!

A rear viewing camera is next on the wish list for us.I will go to the blog and read more on what you use. That will get installed on the truck camper. None of our tank monitors work properly on the 5er. We just wait for the "burp" then we know the black tank is full and it's time to dump. We have a garden hose attachment on the sewer pipe so we let that run all the time for the grey water. The galley water is dumped when the black tank gets dumped. The 5er is stationary for the time being so that works for us.

Awesome thanks for sharing! Are there any maps or apps that will show you the elevation (pretty detailed) along the way?

I have purchased nearly everything on your top ten list. I also have the Haloview system. My Revolver X4 truck bed cover obstructs my view when hitching the fifth wheel and the RAM camera above the truck bed just doesn’t give me a view I am comfortable with. So I put a fourth camera in front of the Companion hitch and can see everything beautifully. I also upgraded my thermostats. Your video proved perfect in helping me figure out the wiring. A big thanks for that! I will ultimately get a GPS but I’m not traveling enough to justify it yet. Noticed that the model in your link is discontinued. Current models are the 780 and 785. Thanks for the reviews, they have been very informative and helpful.

I have Haloview mc7108 with 3 camera's two of them will go to back/white at night time. My question is are they supposed to go to black and white at any time. Thanks

I have a 21 ft travel trailer set up for the furrion S system. I can’t afford $450+ for a camera but I really need something since I can’t see anything out of my mirrors. Could I buy just the camera and somehow get video to my Kenwood head unit or maybe a cheaper alternative that works the same as the furrion s? Would the haloview work?

Great video, Ray! I think they’re a few things there we might need.

I tell you Ray, dash cams? Definetly worth it. I think I mentioned it before, but I talked about 2 different near accidents that I've caught on dash cam, one of which was close to being done to someone else, the other came close to happening to me and my grandfather's friend and I. well, I think Shortly after the beginning of the month was my 1st month 1/2 of me owning my 1st real car under my own insurance, June 16th 2020 or so being when I put it on my own insurance, well, I came close to being rear ended, the driver ended up running off the right side of the road, stopping briefly, and taking off, and my grandfather's friend was in the vehicle with me. luckily, in both instances of when we were almost hit, there were witnesses. How I was almost hit was that I was making a left turn, waiting for traffic to clear, that was the most recent incident. Also, the idea of stand alone GPS'S, love them more then using whatever gps app that you can download off the net. Although I do have unlimited internet data, there is something about a stand alone GPS that I like more then downloadable Gps's. Plus, you don't have to worry too much about loss of assistance when you lose cell signal. Yeah, you do have a worry about interference with buildings and other coverings with gps, but, hey 😃.
