It's funny, when I was a kid in the 80's as I was turning the knob on our small TV in our living room, going through different channels I use to come across the ending credits of cheers. Sometimes the beginning of the intro but I use to say to myself: "man I hate that music"! Maybe every now and then an episode or two, just a glimpse but hardly. I was not into sitcoms. Heck, I had no idea what a sitcom was, let alone the word itself. Now as an old man I can't get enough of cheers! I must have watched the entire show over and over again countless times. Now I wish I had back then.

I remember when my sister told me about a show I wasn't watching called "Cheers." Became a weekly TV staple.

This show is so well written that you can listen to it and enjoy the show. It's practically the best radio show ever, it just happens to be on tv

The writing for Cheers is timeless. After 40 years, this material is still hilarious!

I miss that show, then I bumped into Ted Danson at boat Logan airport about 20 years ago, really nice guy, I asked him if he wanted to have a drink with me because they had a bar called Cheers at the airport and he said he was unaware of the bar and said he had to be somewhere, but he was nice about it 🤣

A few years later, Harry's best con was when he passed himself off as a judge and it took years for anyone to catch on.

I remember watching this as a kid and that "did I hear a buck snort" line cracked me up then and still does now. Hilarious!

A a kid I did not appreciate Diane as much as I do now that I am older. She was really quite humorous. Thank you, Shelley Long.

I can't live in a world knowing Ted Danson makes more than me!

Good HEAVENS, the writing on "Cheers" was so legendarily wonderful, yes? What a shame that here in 202x... ummm... maybe I'm wrong, but ya don't really see anything like it. Sure, sure "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" has some monumentally groovy writing, but there's nothing like THIS in terms of comedic writing that actually worked, was performed at exemplary levels, and landed so strongly on two solid feet for DECADES. What a treasure of a series. Paramount must be over the moon that they have the rights.

Also... it's hard to believe that Nicholas Colasanto isn't going to be the only one who's passed on much longer. :( But hey, we all only have so many years remaining. CHEERS! :)

I loved Cheers. Great cast and writers. Diane was beautiful and smart.

When I moved to Boston in 1994 it was still the Bull and Finch pub below and a different restaurant upstairs but they were connected by the internal stairs. The bar didn't look at all like the Cheers set but it was still really cool to see it in person. Seeing the intro with the outside that I passed so many times really takes me back.

I've literally been watching this show since 1982..
I still love it! Watched them first run, syndicated, and now i just pop in DVDs.
I consider TAXI CHEERS and FRAISER to be one big shared TV universe.
