Funny that I should come across this video. I was sat with a woman in her mid 40's for over an hour last night who had split her head open and was drenched in blood. The police showed up with a trauma kit and then radioed for an ambulance. They came back saying the ambulance would be at least an hour.

There's a hospital down the road, approximately a 10 minute drive away. This was Monday night/Tuesday morning, in Liverpool. Not a rural area.
The police dressed the wound and had to take her to the hospital themselves.

All this talk about admin and response times, they haven't got a clue just how bad it is. It's all right for them though. The whole world stops when they get a papercut.

As a cancer nurse myself, I think government should focus on the workforce. There are no nurses in the hospitals, thus, slowing down the healthcare services. Neither of them even mentioned about nhs nurses salaries despite carrying all the load.

As someone who has many family members and friends who have had cancer, as well as having had it myself (thankfully very early/curable), along with many complaints about the NHS and their handling of the diagnosis of many types of cancer, I have no hope that either of these candidates will do anything about this issue.

Just to let you know doctors, nurses and all NHS staff are not robots, they need more support, more staff, pay rise.

I wish I can ask the candidates and discuss with them.

What the NHS actually needs:
1) More staff - more doctors, more nurses and allied health professionals
2) Better pay and conditions for those staff so they are retained and continue to serve the NHS
3) Increased funding for social care and services

Anything less than the above will not be sustainable. It's not about reshuffling existing resources, it's that we don't have enough of anything.
The past two governments have knowingly and willingly underfunded the NHS and continue to do so.
