So the summary of this video is that western version of ikgai is misinterpreted. However, if people wants to follow the western way of ikigai go for it. However, recently I’ve been researching and found out the Japan way of explaining ikigai it focuses more on your purpose in life, enjoying the littlest things for the short term, and your purpose for the long term unlike the western interpretation of ikigai. If people follows the Japan way of ikigai then people would live a more purposeful life.

Honestly, life is not that easy to deal with and there will be times people will suffer, or feel hurt no matter what they’re going through. Some people may feel there’s no ikigai/purpose in life whereas you can bring purpose into your life by keeping things simple, and living your purpose. From my perspective, my understanding of spirituality and ikigai I think what they both have in common is your purpose on earth and purpose for living are two both different ideas. Your purpose on earth is what your soul planned before you incarnate on earth, and whereas your purpose in life focuses on how you’re living and spending your life doing which can help prevent you from wasting your life. I think combining both your souls purpose and your reason for living is powerful. Spirituality has been around much longer before religion their true origin is animism the source of all spirituality on earth.

Spirituality goes beyond psychology which focuses on reincarnation, past lives, spirit guides, the after life, heaven and hell, death, and etc. I’m absolutely passionate about spirituality and I think that when you put it together with ikigai I think there’s a powerful message from your soul is just to live don’t stop what you’re doing. Because the person who’s stopping you is no one but yourself. If you give up you have many chances so you can continue living and do what you always meant to do. It could be catching up with family, friends, building healthy friendships, hobbies and interests, etc. I hope this makes sense because I am explaining this to make sense of what it would be like if you put spirituality and ikigai together. Therefore, our souls are here on earth for one simple reason which is our souls plan and our home is the afterlife/heaven where you plan your life before incarnating on earth or a planet, and leave the earth after the end of your life where you review your life after your time is up on earth some people call it death.

Overall, I think you can find ikigai in anything the lesson on earth spiritually is no matter if you have given up. Remember you can always get back up and never stop what you’re doing when things are tiring.
