Does God Love Some People More?

Fr. Mike’s answer to this question may make you think differently about God’s love. Dear Father, that moment when you were almost tearing up to explain God's love for us, to me it came off as a moment when Jesus Himself was speaking to us through you, to convince us how much He really loves us. After all, even after being God, he couldn't POSSIBLY love us more. How can you beat infinite love...what's bigger than that!

You are teaching the same catechism the church has been teaching for centuries. I was born for all intents and purposes, to live a boring uneventful life. I have no particular talent to speak of, and growing more isolated as I get older. Not only that, I am more prone to sickness the older I get, and will eventually lose those who are close to me. I have all but given up on living an ideal life, because I don't see it happening. If this is what God had mapped out for me, than I regret being born.

I started praying for GOD to help me love HIM as much as HE loves me and some days I start talking to HIM and just cry non stop not with sadness but I don't know I feel like I miss HIM like i miss my mom or my dad someone I know personally in physical form and some days I just feel nothing and when I feel nothing after talking to HIM I started telling my self OK this is how much HE loves me and I start giving up on that prayer. "The more I need God, the more he loves me". I had never thought about this but the analogy of the Shepard going out to find the lost sheep is so good. When i first found God as an adult for several weeks I felt the presence of God so strongly, I had such a connection and that brought me out of the darkest place I had been in my life. Since then there have been times when I dont feel that same level of connection and I often think 'has he forsaken or left me', in truth I just dont need him as much as I did when I was at my lowest point. He has shown me a new path that I am walking and I am back with the other sheep, safe in the paddock so to speak. Great video Fr Mike.

Thank you Father Mike, you have made me feel a little better! I recently lost my best friend. His name was Ricky, he was a 10 year old Pug. I had to have him put down because he was suffering from illness. Its the hardest things I've ever been through. I really miss him, it's a huge void because he was such a huge part of my daily life. I'm not sure how I'm going to live without him, I'm truly heartbroken! After watching your video I felt better knowing Ricky was in good hands and meeting new friends.
