He would carry a k98 that shoots a 7.62 mauser bullet and was first produced in 1898 but adopted by the german army on june 21st 1935 as theyre main service rifle k98 stands for karabiner 98 it was made by an german engineer named paul mauser the k98 was made at the mauser plant at Obendorf the k98 was made from 1934 to 1945 the company it was made by was waffenfabrik mauser. Fun Fact. Because the German Jackboot was easy to get off to dry and take care for the foot the Germans hardly suffered from Trench Foot which was common with the allies.

The Rifle is the 98K, and Jack boots were replaced after 1940 due to severe ankle injuries 1939 to 1940 campaigns in Poland and Northern European countries. When they went into Russia, most of the Jack Boots were replaced by low quart boots and gaters for better support. I did WW2 battle reenactment from 94 to 2000 in a Schutzstaffel unit 17SS Panzer, Grenaders 38pz, 4th company/ Heavy Weapons Unit .
