Hi guys, Thanks for watching the video. I filmed the video and I can confirm she does that much in a day. At the time of filming, we had a lot of outside factors going on and she was quite wiped between the 2 races. Thanks so much to GTN for editing and producing the video. I see some great comments and we appreciated the feedback. Vegemite and avo on toast is amazing, well worth a try, lets push the team and GTN to give is a go! haha . We'll hopefully find the time to produce more videos for Sarah on her YouTube in the future and instagram on the lead up to Kona.

I find it really interesting watching what actual athletes eat vs what YouTubers say you you should eat. My takeaway is “eat whatever you want to get the job done, nutrition isn’t just for the next 5 minutes but the next 5 days, don’t deny yourself anything, be sensible”.

Another possible behind-the-scene idea: pros doing their laundry!

This video is cool:) thank you guys. Can you please make more video like this. For example, on athletes with full time job:) how they manage their training, meals, work and other parts of life:) also would be nice to know about vegan athletes:) thank you

thank you for sharing this. I thought it was really interesting to consider that not every meal is low fat. I find it interesting to understand how to use nutrition/calories to maximize performance as an athlete. also I appreciated seeing the details of Crowley's swimming workout. I'm not a triathlete but thought I could use parts of her workout for enhancing my swimming training

I was so excited to see vegemite and avocado on toast in this video! That has to be one of the most underrated food combos I know.

And now Sarah is the IM Busselton WA champion. The only person to win every IM in Oz during the same year. Fantastic athlete.

So nice to see a realistic athlete diet! I often feel like we see some super fancy days where every meal has taken 1h to prepare for instagram!

That doesn't seem like very much food at all! Did we miss some energy-loaded drinks somewhere? maybe another meal or two?

I find it hard to believe that is really all she ate in a day. The 2, 5 hour bike was done with only one banana as fuel? No carb drink?

Following this regime is a straight-forward road to "develop" Relative energy deficiency in sport a.k.a RED-S

"the bacon will store a bit of energy for tomorrow" 😂😂

So odd to me that gcn kept commenting on the quantity of bad food being a bad thing, calories are the most important thing by far, especially with this much training

4:46 my pb when I used to swim competetively for 100m is 1:08 and haven't been anywhere close to that since I stopped training with a club so don't think I'd get very far

Thanks for this video! I’m always curious to know what pro athletes eat. Most of the athletes I’ve heard from actually like to indulge in high carb-fat foods for quick energy so I’m not surprised to see that Sarah does that same.

I think the best nutrient packed meal is a quinoa salad. It’s an energy source with a complete source of essential amino acids.

GTN should go to the Norwegians and see what a pro really eats like… there’s no way in hell anyone can like like only 2k calories on a 3 hour training day

It’s amazing that she’s such a great athlete and eats almost everything out of a package… Hardly anything is a whole food
