This is the last review I have watched on this car out of all the others on YouTube because I thought it would be B grade but this has been my favourite. Funny enough you’re reviewing the car down the road from where I live and plan on probably test driving this car at the Brighton dealer.

Nice work! I think the facelift is all about not changing a formula that's already working and just giving it a bit of a freshen up. Mechanically it's the same as the 2020 model but the new IQ.DRIVE tech certainly looks like a big step forwards in self-drive technology. The older system is a little more agricultural in how it reacts/engages only as you're heading out of your lane (rather than keeping you centred).

So interestingly they’ve gone away from the dry-clutch 7-speed and replaced it with the old 6-speed wet clutch from the GTi 7. That means no local cars will run the (admittedly flawed) gearbox. Brilliant

Would love to hear your views on the Tiguan 162TSI R-line, and really also for a Q3 Sportback, as a separate review. The Q3's 35TFSI is similarly priced to the Tiguan R-line and I'm currently still juggling between whether to get the Audi "poshness" or the better size and performance of the R-line Tiguan.

Weird comparison I know since they're a different size class to one another!

Great SUV but too much money for what it is better options out there like the under rated ford escape bit over the mid 30s entry grade TC 8sp auto and a decent 2.0T eng acceleration that can rival hot hatch
