Good to see that it disappeared for other people too and not just me. I’ve been using it recently and I thought it was strange when I went into the settings and saw that it was missing.

This is so strange. Sometimes I manage to accidentally trigger it when I’m exiting the app but I don’t have it. The option doesn’t appear in general for me and when I want it to work it doesn’t. It just happens occasionally and I don’t know why. :(

So bizarre. It automatically started one day and was a very pleasant surprise. Now suddenly for no reason I can’t get it to work. Odd and frustrating. Your video’s great though!

In case it doesn’t show up in the General settings tab for you, scroll to Video preferences and click “playback”, the Picture in Picture setting should be there

Yeah I don’t even have it in my settings either but it accidentally works on its own sometimes but not right now when I need it too lol

Got it last night and was excited after they took it away in May. Had it for years on my Android. Just switched to iPhone in April

I restarted my phone and now it works I tried many different things and it’s a roller coaster you kind of just have to figure it out but restarting the phone worked for me ( and updating YouTube, offloading it, and just swiping from different angles, all did not work ) Edit: it broke again, we just have to live without it for a little while

Oh my God…I love it! Just tried it again on my other account where I followed u…it works for movies and in most apps, while u are scrolling, even when I was in Apple Music, Spotify or iMessage! It’s also so helpful because I watch informational and tech videos all the time, so it’s helpful to be able to finally, without paying money, use it, so I can do other things and still listen or watch and get the information I need!!! Love being able to use it for my movies! Will be on my other account for a while, till it comes to this one…but ❤️ Impressive and much needed feature! 🙏

Oh thank god. I was looking for a way to turn that off. It was enabled automatically for me. I found it so annoying because even when you don’t have a video playing and you close YouTube you’d still get a little gray box that would cover part of your screen for a few seconds.

😮 I’ve been using YouTube++ for many years. I just assumed everyone had PiP already. Glad almost everyone has it now

Thank you for this !!! I had a pixel with YouTube premium for the last couple years so I never had to set up PiP. I recently got an iPhone and kept YT premium but haven’t been able to figure out how to set up Pip.

They must’ve taken it off. It’s the start of the month, which might have something to do with it and apparently I’m no the only one who doesn’t have it anymore. I wonder if they’re making an update
