Ok, so for a Jan 2025 update. This exact same battery bunch I used for his video. So these batteries are about a year or so old. And I recharge them 1-2 times a month at the most, but only when needed, so not very often. I use mainly in camera mounted flash units, or in my Rotolight NEO 2 lights. And these AA's are still going strong after a year. They have slightly reduced use times now. but it's slight.... where before a set of 6 AA would power my Rotolight at 75% for 1 hour now only last 45-50 minutes on an indoor photo shoot. To me that's a win for how I use these. Your mileage may vary. And again, I don't have/use affiliate links. I have no relationship with Amazon or Powerowl, I just use them and like them.

It's funny you say they are sitting in my Amazon cart. I have 3 packs of them, totally $50 (2-24 pks and then the 8 pk with charger), and I thought, I'm going to sleep on it before I 'pull the trigger'. Thanks for making this video to ease my mind!!

Duracell rechargeable 2550 MA, trust me, in testing they are dead on.. Next, Panasonic Eneloop pro. Most everything out there with higher ratings is just an inflated lie.

Read this before you buy

I'm not sure if they still make these batteries the same way, but I ordered them because of your video. I used them in my camera. After 5 min of farting around, my camera started blinking battery light came on. I charged these fully in the charger I bought. I bought them from Amazon. So I took the batteries that showed low battery and put them on the charger, it never went RED it stayed green so I thought, they are low why aint it blinking to charge them. Then I went and read a review that this guy put them on another charging bank and this charger only charges the batteries to 57%. That is why its not showing red. This really irritates me, so Now im sending them back and stick with my duracells for now. Atleast they aint blinking low battery. This is the guys review... After some experimentation and testing, I figured out the charger is only charging batteries to 57% capacity max. Back story, I'm using these AA batteries in Bali motorized smart blinds. The blinds use 8 batteries and have a built in sensor that tells you the current battery charge in each blind, warns you about low battery power, etc. I noticed when I placed "fully" charged PowerAll AA batteries in the blinds, the initial power reading was only 57%. This quickly dropped to the high 30% to low 40% rating after only a day or two of use. Initially, I thought the problem was the PowerAll batteries so I purchased 8 Energizer AA batteries. However, after charging the Energizer batteries with the included PowerAll charger and installing "fully" charged batteries in the blinds, they also read only 57% power. I tested the sensor in the blinds by putting in 8 new Duracell regular batteries. They showed 100% confirming the blinds are reading correctly (I got the 57% reading from more than one different blind so it's not possible that all blinds were malfunctioning identically). Last test, I charged all 8 PowerAll AA batteries four at a time using a Panasonic 4 battery AA charger I already owned. Sure enough, the PowerAll's showed 100% charged after installation (same thing happened with the rechargeable Energizer AA batteries when charged in the Panasonic charger). Therefore, after all this testing and trouble shooting, I can confidently say the PowerAll charger is crap. It only charges batteries to just over 50% of capacity. It does not charge them fully. Don't buy this charger or you will be constantly recharging batteries since you're only getting a half charge. Also, consistently charging them only 1/2 way may lead to them developing a "memory" such that they won't charge fully even if you used a good charger.

I just bought these on Amazon for flashlight use. I have high hopes. I love you.

I think the thing with Eneloop is, they can sit for a year and still be at 70% of full charge. So if you have stuff you don't use for a long time, you can be reasonably sure the device will work when you go to use it a year later. So like a flashlight during a storm or, whatever you barely use.

The ratings for powerowls that are tested for capacity by professional battery testers suggest they do not have the capacity that they advertise. Thanks for sharing your observations, though.
BTW, it is not 'milliamps', it's 'milliamphours'.

Recently had bad luck with EBL's 2800mah batteries (just not delivering the performance they should have, going discharged in a day or two compared to 4 to 5 days that I'd normally expect) and no longer see the high capacity Amazon Basics ones I used to be able to get - so will give PowerOwl a try! Thanks for your review!

How did they last for you long term? Chinese made batteries tend to drop of a cliff after you charge them multiple times

Happy you're happy (and I LIKED your video). But do they hold 70-90% of their charge after sitting 8-12 months?
I have found soooo many lies on Amazon when it comes to battery performance. My white Eneloops gave satisfactory performance for 10 years. My current Amazon recommendation is the greenish Tenergy Centura, or the Energizers.

IKEA LADDAs, the 2450 ones, are the same as Eneloop Pros, but they're only ten bucks for a pack.

You're not even saying if these are Li-on or Ni-MH, or what?

Hello thanks for review. Can you recommend simple and small but quality charger for aa and aaa? I am not professional user, just fed up buying new batteries for mouse and keyboard..

Why not make an Amazon affiliate link? You're losing out on some free referral money.

Are you still impressed with these ? - do you have any affiliation with Amazon ?
