Excellent calming meteorologist doesn't scare but educates .

Weatherman: "It can’t possibly stay this strong."
Mother Nature: "Hold my beer."

So far, this is the best explanation of the hurricane I have watched. Thank you.

Dennis is the best weather predictor out there! I do not even bother to look elsewhere! So many prior storms his advise was correct, when the other reporters on different channels were making ratings on fear... I love this guy in a storm 💯

I’ve grown up watching your Hurricane coverage and while we are evacuating you make me feel a bit better that we’ll have a home to come back to. You’ve been my go to weather person through every Hurricane even now and I’m almost 40. Ty for doing what you do, Dennis!

Great job Dennis. Thank you for what you do for us here in Central Florida...

I started crying when he said that we wont see 180 mph winds. Dennis saved my life twice in the past 20 years. I completely trust him.

Lived in St. Petersburg for a lot of my youth. Hurricane parties were what you did. I've grown up and life is so precious. I call Pensacola home now. Sand in my veins. I have learned to get TF to safety and don't play with mother nature.

Im glad I moved out of Florida 2 years ago. I decided to trade in hurricanes for tornados here in the midwest.

His comments re: Hurricane Andrew were inaccurate. While it hit Homestead, it’s radius of devastation was greater than 5 miles. My home was more than 20 miles away, and most of the house was uninhabitable.

For comparison: 1969, Hurricane Camille - Highest sustained wind speed recorded: 175 mph. Lowest pressure: 900 mb. Second most intense storm to strike the US since records began. Major landfall area: Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Cuba.
I remember the news. The Louisiana and Mississippi coasts were flattened.
