Cleaning an Xbox 360 disc! Round 1!

Microsoft Xbox 360 discs! One of the most standard things you'll find in any game store. And while these discs are tough, they can get scratched same as any others! In this series we'll talk about cleaning and resurfacing Xbo 360 games specifically.

While you'll see a lot of the same methods as my other videos, I want to make sure that if you all out there need to clean an Xbox 360 game, you aren't having to make do with one of those "how to clean any video game" videos! So let's get specific!

I bought about 10 games last week and most of them didn't work. I felt like the most stupid guy on earth. But the I found your video and, while cleaning, it did made me feel better and more relaxed. Also, donating games to kids and stuff like that is such a beautiful thing to do. Suddenly I realised that its OK if the games dont run. Oh thank god he's back, I would be lost without his inside knowledge to do a collection clean up of my xbox discs. Or perhaps I'm lazy to clean my discs without a reason so, which this video is a good excuse to do it!

Wow another great video i am starting to get good at polishing these discs up by hand and am getting good results, still getting micro scratch's and don't know how to get rid of them maybe you know of a better way sense you are the expert, also do plan on doing a video on deep scratch removal like using micromesh pads it would be so helpful have a handful of discs with deeper scratch's and because of that even though they are much better they still skip, and lastly do you plan on making a video on blue rays and also how to use a machine correctly, keep up the good work.

Thank you. When I was younger I used to play mw3 (the original one) and I didn’t know they could scratch and half of my old discs were ruined, however this helped so thanks!

Question my copy of fallout new Vegas has a scratch and it won’t read the disc and I got shoe polisher will that work on the disc

I'm so glad to have you back on YouTube :) do you have any advice on how to clean the polishing material after finishing? No matter what I use (microfiber cloth, simple cloth, towel water etc) everything leaves micro scratches on the disc, but if I leave the polishing material on the disc it gets really gross after a while

So I tried this method on a lightly scratched $3 dollar game before going in on my more expensive titles. It removed the big scratches for sure, but now the scratchless parts of the disc are loaded with micro scratch swirls. I have tried cotton, micro fiber, and polishing pads. I have tried varying amounts of pressure and novus 2. After a few hours of attempting by hand, I went and got a polishing pad for my drill for further testing. Novus 2 seems too abrassive. It will took out the larger scratches, but literally filled my disc with micro scratches.

I am really wondering if an LCD cleaning Kit would work on discs. Have you ever tried any of those?

I've been watching your videoes to help get a copy of Final Fantasy 9 back in working order using your methods. It worked near flawlessly, better than before, thanks to you!

Now I'm trying to polish a Sonic Adventure 2 Dreamcast disc that's riddled with deep scratches and circle scratches. It's been machine polished twice, just to get past the title screen, and now it has problems loading parts of the game (levels and such) even crashed once. What is your advice on cleaning a Dreamcast that's troublesome to get working perfectly?

Ive been trying to repair my wii sports disc. Its been unplayable for years. I got the car scratch 2x stuff from some of your older videos and i got it to the point of it being readable at the wii menu. But thats as far as I can get bc it just freezes and says disc read error.

Was thinking of getting the novus that you use, but the green ones says heavy scratches, which the disc has. So should I get 2 or 3? Really don't wanna have to buy one of those jfj things
