Film Theory: Sonic is Dying... of HUNGER! (Sonic The Hedgehog)

Okay Theorists, I have to ask: how can Sonic keep his super speed and not DIE?! Seriously, he should be STARVING! Based on his insane running exercise, one chili hot dog would NOT be enough to keep him alive. So I grabbed my calculator to solve the exact number of hot dogs Sonic needs to keep his super speed.

This really explains why in a lot of media he's portrayed in; Sonic is shown as being somewhat lazy. In Sonic X, he rests until he has to do something due to Eggman for example.

I always figured, at least based on the movies, sonic didn't need to eat too much compared to other speedsters because he has direct access to the source of energy that gives him his speed, the energy in his quills

Don't forget that Sonics body is incredibly energy dense. Just a single quill was enough to power Eggman's machine to become equivalently fast. I would hazard a guess that Sonics body is so replete with energy that he doesn't actually need to eat; he just does it because it tastes good and is fun to do, or because he mistakenly thinks he HAS to eat.

Keep in mind in the first scene, when he ran to get the bad guys, everything was frozen showing that he was actually running at a MUCH MUCH faster speed than Matt calculated and also his calorie usage is innacurate because these formulas are according to the average human and we all know sonic is no where near close to human in biology. So this theory could be innacurate, but remember its just a theory, A FILM THEORY!

Eggman used one of Sonic's quills to power his tech so he could chase him. It mentained his charge without sonic which means it generates power on it own. Considering that sonic has hundreds of quills on his back and the fact that he's an alien, his speed might come from the power stored in his quills. Also, in the first movie, sonic first ate a chilly dog after Eggman started chasing him. I could be wrong but your they definitely need some revisions.👍

He doesn't come from OUR dimension.
His metabolism isn't like ours.
He is either a mutation that has developed the ability to survive on very little food intake or he has some sort of magical element (much like the Chaos crystals) that sustains him.
