I'm a functioning illiterate, I've come to find out, there are different styles of reading. In fact I got this book titled " How to read a book" Mortimer Alder. In fact he's written several books on the topic. I do not have a formal education, being I only went to the 9th grade. But I didn't let that stop me, I love to read. A book can take you places you never imagined

I’ve been subscribed for a while but frankly I haven’t tuned in. I recently “decluttered” my subscriptions and your channel made the cut. This is the kind of encouraging I need. Thank you young man.

I just finished Ego Is The Enemy. And all I can say is thankyou for sharing your wisdom. Ive had problems in the past with anxiety brought on by paranoia caused by ego. And its something I really don't know if I would have ever come to understand without reading this book. I fell back into books when I came to the realization that therapy doesn't have to be sitting in a room while someone listens to your problems and guides you through them. Sometimes therapy can be listening to somebody speak to you through their own writings and perspectives. And before I speak too much, I just want to say thankyou.

I love reading. I ready about 40-50 books a year. My problem now is implementing everything I’m taking in. The next step is bringing people into my life who can work with and partner with me.

Reading has an overwhelming amount of benefits, bearing an efficacy that is paralleled by no other activity. These are five of the myriad incentives to taking up a habit of reading, and I hope that Ryan's presentation of such is effective in proliferating this habit that is essential to success in life, the most vital and rewarding of all habits. Thank you for this, Ryan.

I've stopped reading and I find being online is one reason. Being in lockdown has made me read again. I spend the first hour of the day reading as I can no longer go to the gym. I guess I need to find a space and time to read each day.

John Barry is great. His one about the great flood blew me away and taught me more about American History and economics and race relations than I’d ever known before.

The more you read the more ideas you have in your head. Books are made to share ideas, it is a treat for the mind. We should not let this opportunity pass us by.

Regarding reading. Me being born, raised and educated in Germany, I have been of course confronted with the typical German classics like Simplicius Simplicissimus by Grimmelshausen, Nathan the Wise by Lessing, Faust by Goethe and all of that kind of stuff. I found them all being utterly boring. It was tiring to read these works. Not interesting at all. Not one single bit. And I love language. Language is my main tool. I love to read, to listen, to write. At least until I finished my doctoral thesis. After that for like 7 to 8 years almost no books got into my hand. Slowly getting back now. Ordered some of your book recommendations. We will see how it goes.
