How to keep an employee:
1. Pay them a wage they can thrive with.
2. Stop treating them like property.

Keeping employees is easy! Whenever you have a good month in revenue give some of those profits to your employees in cash! No amenities, no parties, no “words of encouragement, ” no Starbucks gift cards, no certificates, no employee of the month, no taking the team out to eat.
Simply say “hey look we made X amount of money this month here’s some cold hard cash”

Todsy was a tough day for me . The issue I’m having as CEO is burning out and mentally drainage. For some reason YouTube suggested me this video tbh if this didn’t come up on my feed tonight I was about to actually quit and shut my sales business .. it’s not an easy thing to be a leader. This video it’s almost like it revived me. I will stay strong and continue my journey. Thank you PBD ❤️

People rarely quit jobs... they quit bosses.
The second thing is, as a boss, you have to be "comfortable with" the Pareto distribution.
Third issue is knowing that a functional conservative organization must have someone who is very "creative and open thinking" about ideas for expansion, who is not the "conservative lead".
Usually they get "filtered out" and the organization starts to fail.

Many mid level management teams of some companies seems to be out of touch of reality or just straight don't care for people or have company culture on paper but nothing solid on reality, hiring people mostly based on CV and x years of experience also can screw up selecting talent

Best thing I have ever done was getting out of a long term corporate job in the tech industry. The hours, the stress, was not worth it in the long run. Glad I did, and haven't looked back.

The bit on heirarchy makes that team or company seem like a NIGHTMARE of a place to work at. Places that encourage this are always so focused on everyone protecting their ego that good ideas are completely stifled. If you have a problem with someone speaking to you directly because their title in your organization doesn't match your self perceived status then you really need to do some introspection on if you truly value your ego or your product more. Funnily enough Patrick mentions adjusting your language to younger people but doesn't seem to be aware that talented young people more and more are unwilling to be treated like property.

Its so true that people don't leave jobs, they leave bad bosses. My job had an open VP position and recruiting told me that we got 3, 000 applicants for it.. You are competing not just against people who don't have a job, but also against a ton of people with a job. If you have great leadership (at all levels), you can keep people engaged. So often companies promote people into management because they are good at their job -- but the skills needed to succeed as a manager/direct/VP/C level are different than being good at your original job.

Have documented process and procedures and tools that work! In a large corporation the worst thing you can do is tell a person who has a question about a certain task is to go ask someone. I can ask three co-workers a question and get 5 different answers on how I'm supposed to do a task. Don't set up you're employees for failure. Give them the proper tools and ensure there is a constant feed back loop. If a tool or process is rolled out, make sure it works; ask for feedback and ACT on the feedback. Don't tell the employee, I hear you but were not going to fix it.

I guessed 100, 000 people quit their job every day before the video started. Love this video and your channel. This is the best insight into the employee world you can find. Best way to have growth in the business world and entrepreneurship.

I’d like to see this guy manage the retail industry where there’s not a soul to hire in a race to the bottom era. It’s not always bad bosses....it’s bad industries where racketeering and price fixing are not the cornerstones

Company I just left believes it's a good thing to cycle employees every 3 years. Guess how they are doing ...

I quit two jobs in my life. #ToxicManagers #ToxicWorkEnvironment

I think I quit most of my jobs due to poor wages or the inability of a company to index them to inflating cost of living.

As a mid level manager with a horrible boss this video was eye opening. I now know exactly what to look for in future employers/employees.

my brother Patrick Bet-David, I watched your video and I thought this guy knows what he is talking about I agree with this info. but I had not realize it was you. I met you back years ago in world financial group, I used to break the floor in the Ontario office with Schloeman baseshop and you told me that nobody could do it as I did. Anyways glad to see you brother I am running my leadership training company I wish you the best. Great video
