Oh boy!! The wrong Catholic just heard this. You are trippin’ dude because I have never heard a priest speak about the American flag, apple pie and Jesus. #1. Learn about the Catholic Church and Catholics before you speak to what we’re like. #2. We are very hung up on Jesus and work every day on our journey with Christ. You see, we’re not just open on Sundays and Wednesdays. We’re open every day, all day. In at least one church in a city there is perpetual adoration where anyone can visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and speak with Him, adore Him, praise Him and listen to Him. #3. The Catholic Church has been around for over 2000 years and its doctrines were handed down by Jesus himself, if you plan on disparaging the church. #4. You non Catholics did not invent having a relationship with Jesus. We have thousands of saints to prove it and those are the ones we know of. #5. A word of caution: Should you in your pride, begin to study the church be careful. You may fall in love with the beauty, the sacraments, the Mass, and all we have that brings us closer to Christ, so much so, that we’d be willing to die rather than deny our Savior. God bless. ❤❤❤

I’m a Catholic and my biggest problem with modern Christianity (Catholics and Protestants included) is that there is too much devision and hateful words against one another. That is not what Christ invisioned for his church. It doesn’t help if you call me an idolater thats going to hell or if I say you are going to hell because you don’t receive the Eucharist. I beleive both Protestantantism and Catholocism are paths to eternal life but not everyone who follows them will receive that gift. There are pleanty of Protestants that I know that say, “Oh I beleieve in Jesus. Thats good enough and I don’t need to go to church and I don’t need to read my bible because I believe he is my savior.” Obviously this is incorrect. You can’t coast into heaven on your faith if you ignore Jesus’ commands to us. Likewise, as a Catholic I pray to Mary and to the Saints (typically St. John the Baptist and St. Paul because I feel the most kinship to them) that they bring my prayers to the throne of God that he may answer them. I still pray to God and to Christ, I just add these other prayers into my life which has added a lot for me personally since I left the Protestant faith and became Catholic. But I do think there are a worryingly large number of Catholics that ONLY pray to the saints and forget about Christ.

I think what I’m trying to say in this jumbled mess of a comment is that we both have flaws Protestant Christians and Catholic Christians alike. We need to stop just pointing to those flaws and disregarding the other person’s faith. There are WAY more pressing issues like the rise of Atheism which we need to address and we can’t bring people to Christ if we are fighting all the time. Obviously I would prefer that Atheists become Catholics, but if they decide to become Protestants thats fine with me too. I just want non believers to follow Christ because I just want as many people to get to heaven as possible.

I don't agree with some of Cliffe's arguments, but I will say, from the video's i have watched, he is polite, kind, and truly has faith in God (my disagreements are just minor theological, so minor I cannot even think of an example); seems like a good guy who really cares about people, and their salvation.
