As a diabetic in remission I am still insulin resistant it takes longer to get my blood sugar down approx 4 hours. Considering I was on insulin and now off all diabetes meds I am happy. I know I am not metabolically healthy yet but I've come a long way and still going strong. It's taken 26 months to get there and lost 133lbs. My advice is not to rush it your body knows what it's doing my favourite saying is ' I can't control where I lose the weight or how fast I'll lose it but I can control what I eat '

I have followed you for a long time I do IF, and OMAD, and I just did a 36 hr fast. for the last 4 weeks I have been carnivore with IF and the results are truly amazing. I did this for joint pain. and it has almost dissappeared and Im losing 3 to 5 lbs a week. Carnovore is tricky to start with as it seems boring and you crave veg etc.. but after a couple of weeks....the mist clears and the magic happens. (from the UK) Thanks Dr Mindy

It's a great reminder to think about the quantity vs quality of my food. I'm just in the beginning of my IF lifestyle, and everything makes so much sense. I'm anxious to lose the weight and maybe get some benefits for my RA. Love these videos!!

I am 55; how much protein should I be eating in a day?? Everything I look at says like 90-100g….that is ALOT!! I would love to see an actual plate with what your meals look like (the size and composition). Thanks so much!

Thank you, Dr. Pelz, for this great information. I'm on my 6th week of doing ketovore. I've lost 12 lbs and have gone done a size so far. I typically eat once or twice a day and feel so satiated that I'm intermittent fasting without really trying. Sometimes I go 20 hours without being hungry! But, sometimes I do get sleepy after I eat and get some brain fog. I was worried that maybe I was doing something wrong and now I know. I appreciate all your helpful advice. I'm new to your channel and plan on buying Fast Like A Girl soon. May you have a blessed day. I look forward to your next video. Thanks again!

These videos and Mindys work have changed my life! I'm 44 and since I started varying my fasts and food pairing, I've dropped about 7 lbs and a dress size. Not to mention my body feels and moves better then in my 20s.

Id love more info on blood sugar levels after a meal. Ive had pre-diabetes markers for many years but my glucose has been low. Sometimes though when i eat carbs, it shoots into the 200 range and that scares me. That is rare but it has happened. Id also like to understand the causes and dangers of low blood sugar. I'm a nutrition coach and I've been studying the books so i can teach my clients. Thank you so much for this life changing work!

I’ve not been losing weight for a while- around a year I’ve been stuck at the same number, despite fasting and eating low carb/keto.
So I decided as I’m feeling bloated and my abdomen seems huge after my evening meal (I don’t eat pasta, potatoes, bread so I don’t know why!) I reduced the amount of food I was eating - less veg, I used to have half a plate of vegetables like cabbage and broccoli with my protein, and I’ve lost weight! It was that simple! Thanks Dr Mindy! I’m hoping I will continue to lose now

I lost 45lb in 8 months in 2022 by calorie counting and loved it. I have kept it for more than a year now. Not counting anymore, but the process of counting made me aware of how much of what I really needed to eat and how much is too much. I started fasting recently, long after my weight-loss journey, just for the health benefits. It annoys me when people say calorie counting doesn't work. It does for some people, it did for me, and it actually might be the only good way for more serious athletes to keep in shape and meet caloric needs.

56 lost 20 lbs so far and my eyes are so much better. I had lots of floaters and now so much better. Pins and needles of feet gone. Brain fog gone!

26; 16:8 intermittent fasting. 11am-7pm pretty consistently and down 20lbs. This is with eating clean keto at meals also. It’s not perfect, but it’s a start 😅😂
