You did it bro. You not only figured out how to sell premium frozen water, but you figured out who to sell it to. Good for you man. You did it.

7:02 product collected by hand. "Why is it so expensive?" Truly a question that answers itself.

2:44:57 The salt guy is so inspiring and so creative! Creating completely new categories of salts and smoking it is something I never could have even thought of.

Just turning 60, it cracks me up about Uni as I grew up in Santa Barbara and spent nearly every weekend on the beach while my dad dove for urchin and abalone. and we spent the whole day at Santa Barbara Harbor, watching buckets of urchin being brought in and that was way before sushi was a popular thing in the United States. I always asked my dad. What are those creepy spiky black things in those buckets, and he explained oh they’re going to Japan … and now many years later to discover what a delicacy it was that I constantly saw being unloaded from boats just makes me laugh.

I appreciate how the place doing sturgeon caviar actually seems to ALSO be working to improve the lives of their employees and the community.

The African caviar segment is amazing on how they treat their employees. Not only by training them but giving them housing and meals for free.

Just an fyi. If you love Japanese food, soy sauce you must must try Makoto Ginger dressing. You’ll know the taste. It a common salad dressing. But this brand is superior. It should be as popular as Heinz ketchup. Its complexity is otherworldly. I don’t have anything to do with them, fyi. Just a fan.

It's striking to see how many of these delicacies are championed by people who truly have a love for the craft. What an incredible showcase of people who have found their calling by pursuing and teaching others to love their art.

I had watched some of these before as just individual episodes, so having all of them correlated together was a blessing and convenient to watch. Anyone who considers themself as a "Foodie" needs to watch this and gain a better understanding as to how & where specialized foods come from and better understand why the prices for such artisanal foods are so expensive and difficult to produce. I am a big supporter for the family-owned businesses that produce not just the unique foods but do it in the "Old-School" manner and in a more natural way. 👍👍Support your local enterprises and stores that sell such items and use the internet to buy the international items. 👍👍
