Dr McDougall passes away at only 77 years old

It is sadly true, the creator of the low fat, oil free STARCH SOLUTION, Dr John McDougall has sadly passed away at only 77 years old. His sudden death came as such a shock to me and I'm sure has created a huge wave of sadness and disbelief all throughout the whole food plant based community. It was because of the starch solution that I started my channel. I remember reading the starch solution for the very first time and thinking, "I can do this!" and here I am all these years later still following his basic principles and happily down almost 60lbs. I have so many questions, but now is not the time for that. Respectfully, we need to give his family and friends space to grieve their great loss. Thank you Dr. McDougall for being such a powerhouse in the whole food plant based community.

Dr McDougall had the death I want. Basically healthy until the end and shock at the news of his death. People miss the fact that he wasn’t in the hospital needing chronic care. A vegan diet doesn’t grant immortality it gives the best chance at increasing your health span while you age. However; individual results may vary. Everybody dies but how long you stay healthy is the key. Dr. McDougall changed my life though I never met him either. He will be missed. ❤

I'm grieving, too. I got to meet Dr. McDougall in person and he signed a book for me. I emailed Dr. McDougall last year to wish him a happy birthday, and thanked him for the positive impact he's had on my life. He replied back, "Helping others is the greatest gift in life."

He was the very first doctor I came across who explained the whole food plant based lifestyle on YouTube. He changed my life. Rest in Peace Dr. McDougal. And my heartfelt condolences to Mary, their children and grandchildren. 🙏🏻

We all have an expiration date! Dr. McDougall’s has come, he was a most wonderful doctor and teacher.
I loved the way that he loved his wife, his family, and those of us he never laid eyes on
What he has taught me is even though we all one day will pass on from this life. Did we want to live? Or did we want to exist? There is a big difference. I want to live healthy until the last day of my life. He taught me how to do that.

Doctors wanted to put me on cholesterol and blood sugar meds. I adopted a Starch Solution diet and within a few weeks my blood numbers were normal. I also lost almost but not quite 50 lbs. I need to lose some more, but my blood numbers continue to be in the normal range and they don’t bug me anymore about that.

This is shocking and such sad news. This is the first I’ve heard of Dr. McDougall’s passing. This is such a loss to the WFPB community. I am forever grateful to have found this lifestyle through his books and teachings. My heart goes out to Mary, his family, friends and all of us that didn’t know him personally but felt a kinship through his website, interviews and presentations on social media.
